jeredh
Just got my 2012 SS back, along with all the takeoff parts. Is there a market for these parts? I'm guessing eBay would be the place to sell them, but thought to ask you fine folks first. Here's what I have for sale: 1 front splitter 2 rocker panels 2 mufflers & pipes washer fluid cap supercharger 2 front rotors/2front calipers shifter assembly pan hard bar drive shaft front brake backing plate rear brakes cooling reservoirs hood (black, stripe delete) These are takeoffs from my 2012 GT500. The car had approx 3,800 miles on it before the SS conversion was made, so parts are in good shape. I believe this list is complete, but i could have missed something. Thanks, Jered Edited June 8, 2013 by jeredh

Thanks, Jered I have been selling my 8.3 original mile 2008 parts over the last 3 years or so, some on eBay, some on forums and have re-couped approx. $4500. All I have left is my oem driveshaft, panhard, shifter and hood. R

I think it had something to do with the timing of when the order was placed, and or salesman? Or we got hosed.....
2010KonaBlueGT
I was flat out told no when I asked for my take off parts. I think it had something to do with the timing of when the order was placed, and or salesman? Or we got hosed..... A guy I know ordered a early 2010 SS and returning his take-off parts was part of his deal. They originally refused and he said 'no take off parts? No super snake' so they relented and returned take off parts. Not HIS take off parts, but take off parts (worn out tires when his were BRAND NEW, zero mile tires, a hood with different stripe colors, etc.). I don't know if they will negotiate take off parts now or not but for what a person spends on a SS package, I think they'd be nuts to refuse (considering it could cost them a SS upfit sale). jeredh
All - I saw this response coming from a mile away and the last thing I wanted to do was cause this debate. I was told that I could not have my parts back, and for me that was an issue. Shelby negotiated with me on returning my parts. Realize that I paid a price to get them back from Shelby, as well as paying the transport company who delivered my SS back to me. Money talks. When I decided to upgrade to the SS I would not settle for them keeping my parts, especially the wheels. Hindsight, it was not really a wise decision to get them back. I suppose if I were to e-bay the parts I could make my money back. My philosophy was that I paid for those stock GT500 parts when I bought the car from Ford and I deserved to have them back. Call me a sucker for paying additional monies to get them back, or you can say I'm a fool with my money. Don't ask how much I paid them - it's my business. To 2010KonaBlue you asked about my splitter. I have not sold it, so I imagine it is among the boxes of take-off parts stacked in my garage. According to Ford, the price of a new OEM splitter is $243.17. You can PM me an offer if you'd like. Jered

This is NOT handled in any way by Shelby Performance Parts, I'd recommend anyone with questions reach out with an email to Gary Patterson in Sales: GaryP@ShelbyAmerican.com BTW, we don't keep Recaros, they are reupholstered with the Shelby leather package and returned to you in your car.
