old man
I have built a new six car shop for my toys. What recommendations do you have for materials to use for the hard air lines? Size and material. I have a 80 gallon compressor. Thanks Harley
Dans07SGT
I would go with 1/2" galvanized. Limit the amount of water with a good separator coming out of the tank and they'll last for years.
MJN
Have you looked into the aluminum lines with the plastic skip lock fittings. Can't think of the brand name off hand. We have had these in my work place for six years now and no problems.
SoCalSGT
Take a look at this link. It uses nylon tubing that won't shatter like pvc and is pretty easy to install. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=30321&site=ROCKLER John
EL SHELBY
Garage Pak is the stuff I've looked at but I have not compared it to anything else. http://www.garage-pak.com/index.html

old man
Thanks for the information from all of you. The garage pack looks very nice. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Hopefully this will be a one time investment. The systems are all cheap compared to the price of our toys. I have also considered the system from Eastwood. The Rockler system looks to be like the Eastwood system. Has anyone had experience with either the Rockler or Eastwood systems?. You have all given me options that I had not considered. Thanks again. MJN
I have used what is similar to the Rockler in various machines. Stuff is nice and flexable and easy to work with. No special tools required and there are thousands of different fittings you can get. Only thing with that is if do any welding, grinding etc it is easier to get a hole in the plastic stuff then in the aluminum tube but can be easier to work with then the aluminum for sure. wingsnut
Transair and Legris make some nice stuff, but it is pricey.
