SGT0128
Finally got around to installing the Shelby racing cam covers, Comp Mutha thumper cams and Ford Racing headders. So far eveything is fine. I'm problay going to have to get another tune, it seems a little fat to me. Click the picture directly below to hear the cams. MyBlueHeaven
Very Nice, what mufflers are you runnning? I added LT's in December and don't like the sound with the stock sgt mufflers, too raspy IMO. Looking at adding the borla's that shelby has on sale at the moment. SGT0128
Im runing the Mac MMS mufflers. They are super droney at steady speed. I bought them from another TS member. I'l be swapping them out as soon as I recover from this finianical expense.
JeffJ
Since I've been buying your rejects already, , put me on the list for interested in you mufflers. The moroso spiral flows sounded horrible with my new motor. I have the Pypes open tubes on there right now and don't like them either, way too much. I'd be interested in the Mac's you have. EL SHELBY
Sounds awesome. Did you do the cam and header install on your own? And, with the intake manifold cover with the Shelby strut bar, is it rubbing the strut bar? I've had to space my Shelby strut bar to clear the same cover. 07SGT
Are those shorty or long tube headers? Sounds exceptional, and the license plate is exceptional also. God Bless Texas!!!
HARALD KELLEY
Engine bay looks tastefully done. The covers and strut brace tie it all together.

I've had to space my Shelby strut bar to clear the same cover. I had some help from a friend of mine who knew way more that I did. I was pretty much labor, he was the brains. The strut bar just barly rubs that intake cover. Are those shorty or long tube headers? Sounds exceptional, and the license plate is exceptional also. God Bless Texas!!! They are Ford Racing cermic coated shorties. I know it wasnt the best choice but they were within my budget. Thanks for the license plate complement. EL SHELBY
How does your friend feel about a road trip to Fort Worth? Edited March 13, 2013 by EL SHELBY
07SGT
Those sound as good or better than the FRPP Hot Rod cams. Any loss of low end torque? Have you had this set up dynoed? Numbers?
yoggiebhr
Sounds fantastic! How's the driveability? Any problems with normal, around town traffic type driving? Love how your engine bay looks, I have the same intake cover on mine, with no rubbing problems either.
SGT0128
How does your friend feel about a road trip to Fort Worth? Kind of doubt it, I had to pretty much beg to get this done, sorry. Those sound as good or better than the FRPP Hot Rod cams. Any loss of low end torque? Have you had this set up dynoed? Numbers? Everyone said I'd lose low end, but I'm not feeling it. If feels like a beast to me. Not dyno yet, like I said the tune dosent seem right. When I get that done I'll post the numbers here. Sounds fantastic! How's the driveability? Any problems with normal, around town traffic type driving? Love how your engine bay looks, I have the same intake cover on mine, with no rubbing problems either. Its a little buckey at lower speed, but I've learned quickly how to manage it with the gears and throttle. Theres now way I'd go back to stock. Way too much fun. SGT0128
Sounds good and looks good too. Is that a RPI design CF plenum cover. Thanks. Yes it is. I had it repainted not long after I got it. The quality was just not there for me.
sgt1864
Thanks for letting me know about the quality. I just had some parts hydro dip CF so if I don't like the quality or it dose not closely match my existing parts I will get it hydro dip. I my also give them a call to see if I can just purchase a unfinished cover.
