Thanks to 'the dude', I learned of a black convert in the neighborhood. She's Triple Mutha F#c*in' Black, with nav, sirius, upgrade and ZERO stripes sitting on the showroom floor. Whatta stealth bomber. I did the deal, with a 10k adm, and sudden buyers remorse. Yes, I thought there was exaggeration on this site of the cars power, speed, & handling (thought the car was ol' school history but with today's bling). Man was I wrong...you were right. When I took off from the dealer I was blown away, whatta ride! It's more than what I thought, thanks to your input.

I remember Shelby's from the sixities when I was a kid and thought it would never be recreated. Well they sure did and I've had a steady stream of co-workers stopping by to check it out. For now she's my daily driver with a 5 mile ride to work and temporary garage permission. However, I must sell my classic ride to afford a nice daily & upcoming winter driver.

I'm looking for anyones support in selling off my classic Mercury. As you can tell by the user name, it's a 68 Park Lane Yacht Paneling edition convertible. 85900 miles with a book full of documentation, 3rd owner, new top, boot, seats, pwr windows, seat, trunk, R12 a/c, am 8 track, with an underdash CD & box speakers in back covered in new seat vinyl, detailed 390 4bbl dual exhaust engine. Parchment top/interior, buttercream ext. with 3m woodgrain along the sides. $18500 obo. Help me help my Shelby from a brutal Chi-town winter, thanks again for your support thruout my quest.

That great you were able to find your deal! Good going!

Where are all the pics???? What you got was one of my choices I was considering. All black vert with no stripes. Just straight jet black! I think the black makes the best looking verts with have the black top.

Lets see the pics!!!!

Congrats on your baby. I got mine last Friday night and I am just blown away with it :o I love it, smile never goes away :)

FYI - White makes the best looking verts with the black top and all the black accents on the car :P
