mikeljgt500kr
That is so great, I have been waiting for it to come out since I heard about the filming. Brings back so many memories of the old drag race days, before all the modern hi-techno stuff.

WJinLV
Very cool! Loved watching them as a kid and even had the hot-wheels set. Of course, The Snake was my favorite. It was white with blue stripes, kinda like my Shelby now.

MY500SS
This is so flipping cool. Brings back some great memories. As a young teenager, I use to hang outside the snakes shop just waiting for his crew to cackle the cars.

Cobramach1
I thought I'd resurrect this thread as I just went to see this movie this past weekend. I really enjoyed the movie and recommend any of you that are especially into drag racing should definitely see if it is playing near you and check it out. The official website is here: http://www.snakeandmongoosemovie.com/ It's only playing in 2 theatres nationwide right now, but is opening up to more eventually. If you have the chance to see it I recommend it. It has a LOT of classic racing footage which was pretty neat to watch and they did a great job splicing it in to the movie. Don and Tom both had an appearance playing a small part that lasted a few seconds each. Some of the footage was a little cheesy, but overall it was well worth seeing. I give it two thumbs up. mikeljgt500kr
I'm ready to see it, but bet it won't make it to a theatre near me, maybe on DVD or PPV on Dish???
wingsnut
Somewhere in a box I still have the original Snake and Mongoose Hot Wheels cars. They are trashed though, spent many hours playing with them.
Cobramach1
Well Snake and Mongoose is a MUCH better movie than getaway. Saw that this weekend too and if it weren't for the Shelby I wouldn't have even bothered and I would have made a good choice.

Redlinetoys
We went and saw this movie last Wednesday night in Avon (close to Indianapolis Raceway Park). There were only 8 of us in the theater but it was well worth seeing. GREAT actual race footage throughout and a decent story too. We enjoyed. I heard from a friend that the very next night the movie had quite the attendance with Don Prudhomme, Tom McEwen, John Force (and crew), Billy Gibbons (of ZZtop) as well as other celebrities present in the theatre. Guess we were one night too early. If you get a chance go check it out. Edited September 20, 2013 by Redlinetoys
