Kinda scratchin my head here.....

Just got the Ford 2013 Mustang brochure in the mail "Power even superheros envy" or something like that for the headline. As I'm looking down through the specs I understand why the GT 500 has less ground clearance than the other Mustangs, but not why the track is narrower? Is the track measured from the inside of the tires--inside sidewall to inside sidewall? That's the only thing I can figure! My first thought is that the track is wider, but then again, the tires fit inside the fenders and the fenders aren't flared......
