Insult or compliment...(LOL)

I was at the Ford Dealership getting my oil change and a general look over, and a guy pulled his car in ( base 2012 Chevy Camaro). as he walked into the waiting room (clear view of the maintence bay) i told him nice car we chatted for a little and told me how it was badass and had an awsome exhaust note, at this time I was holding my tongue, a few minutes past, then he asked me what was i driving, and as i was about to answer him, a deep rumbling thunder echoed throughout the vehicles bays, having half the waiting room customers turning to see where the rumbling came from...........i simply said without looking "thats mine".lol. And as my highly waxed 2010 Shelby Gt500 (Borla exhaust) pulled up to the service desk (in front of the glass waiting room area). the guy looked at me as if i insulted him without saying a word.............so i told him again he had a nice car, but he looked at me as if i put egg on his face................lesson from this story never bring a Chevy to a ford Dealership (Sandy Springs Ford-largest Shelby Dealer in Atlanta)....lol

I give you all the credit in the world with only having a smirk. I would have been smiling from ear to ear. :yahoo::hysterical2:

I might of let it echo a bit on my way out of the service bays too, or - at my dealer - I would've been asked to leave a couple black marks on the tile for him to see when he walked out... :peelout:

Anything to get a response like :rant2: out of him.

I guarantee you had a smile on your face (or smirk). I'm all grins every time I hear that monster start up. We love these beasts, cuz...all together now..."There's nothing like that sound!" In the Service Bay, those acoustics just seem all the better, eh?!

Great story. Funny how some people in the waiting room have zero response to a Shelby pulling up to the window, while others can't hold back their reaction. Is that yours? Yes, yes it is... Nice! :burnout:Nothing like the echo of throaty exhaust in a garage!

Ah.......memories! Had a meeting at the local casino (YES, just a meeting!). It was mid summer so I invited a buddy to go along and I drove the Shelby. Got there and of course went all the way to the top of the parking garage where there weren't any other cars. This was shortly after I had installed the KR mufflers and the H-pipe so I was quite interested in how the car was going to sound. When we left, I just left it in first ALL the way down through the parking garage. The sound was absolutely AWESOME as it echoed throughout the building. Everyone in there just stopped and stared. It even impressed my buddy who is a diehard bowtie fan! The sound is one of the best things about these cars (after you junk the stock exhaust).
