First visit to Shelby American

The first time I was in Vegas (2 years ago) I was still dreaming of owning a Shelby someday. I wanted to go to SAI, but just couldn't make it. Now here I am, finally a Shelby owner and finally going to visit my car's birthplace. This is like Mecca to a Mustang owner.....dang....I'm too excited to sleep, and I'm still a day from visiting. LOL

WjinLV....give a guy a tip...where are the machines paying out. *grin*. My baby needs a Whipple and a wide body kit!!

They all pay the same...poorly on the Strip! But your best odds are blackjack. Get yourself a nice steak while youre here. Del Frisco just off the strip on Paradise and Flamingo is #1 in my book, others are Capital Grille in Forum shops or The Palm in Cesars. Stay away from Smith & Wollensky.

Smith and Wollensky has always been our favorite but haven't been there in several years-what didn't you like about it?

It just didnt compare in taste to the others I mentioned. Seemed to just want to load up on tourists and not really concerned about serving a great meal.

Next time you are in Vegas, try one of the other 3, you might enjoy the change.

Thanks-we are going for the Bash so I believe we will have Sunday night free-going home on Monday.

Shows you how much I gamble...not at all. Craps seems too hard to learn IMO.

Once you have a few minutes with someone to explain its not hard but if you don't have a coach you'd just as we'll throw money on the table

I am not a high roller but to successfully play you need to start off with 300-500 at. $5 table. I can play for 3-4 hours and usually net out with one of the following outcomes. I make a point of doing at least one session per trip and we go 2-4 times a year to visit friends

You will go up and down a lot in this interval but I never add more to the Initial start

Lose only a small amount less than$100 or in essence a lot less than I'd do by playing almost anything else for the same time. Very rare

Break even with a range of -20 to +20. Not very often (It's not worth standing there if you don't expect at least minimum wage)

Make enough to pay for the trip. I usually leave with at least 500-800 profit

Lose my initial stake - only on e in 15 years. Went back the next night and got it all back and them some

I'll be happy to coach as the south point is one of the places I play

Just to get bk on topic: I had a great time at the Tour this morning. Good chat with Jer (nice pet videos) and Gary P. with news coming out on track runs on a 2013 SS with ubreal numbers.

Only able to see on car with wide body kit in shop. I would have liked to have seen one up close in the showroom/museum.

Great people and fun morning. All kinds of security groups were doing a terrorist security drill by the track. Freaky!

Great to see you and your wife here this morning, Don! And I appreciate the candy. Good stuff!

Enjoy your trip!

BTW, I'd recommend Carnevino for some very good steak and pasta. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

your best odds are blackjack.

Nope. Craps

Poker is bar far the best game to play in a casino. All other games offered by the house have have odds in favour of house. You WILL loose, the odds dictate this.

Poker is the only game where the house does not care if you win or loose and therefore your odds vs the house do not come into play.

I am not sure if they exist, but I did not not see any Team Shelby brochures/applications in the shop, just ones for the CS Foundation.

Dinner tonight at Emiril's Delmonico's Steak House. Annual event. Best service and dining.

Where is Delmonico's at?

Delmonico's is in the Venician, way in the back behind he casino in restaurant row, past the showrooms. On scale of one to ten, with ten being excellent, it is a twelve!

Once again, since SA is center earth for Shelby fans, Team Shelby applications would be a good to have on hand. Ownership of a Shelby vehicle is not required, is it? TS and SA are good promotional partners.

What a day. The tour was great, the cars in the museum are fantastic. Both the Cobra and Mustang production areas were very interesting. Saw quite a few cars in process so business is good! I think I was the first one there this morning, hit up the gift shop.

Special thanks to Jer and Keith. Guys, I can't say enough about what the day meant to me. I'm not quite sure how long it will take for the smile to fall off of my face. I was so overwhelmed I couldn't hardly think of anything to ask..LOL. Hard for me to pick out my favorite part....I'm still processing.

And yes....I signed the wall and put my csm number.

Thanks again everyone at Shelby American!!
