Lethal 680 package or custom tune

I just purchased a new 2013 Shelby and would like to add some mods. Would you guys recommend the Lethal 680 package or should I make the two hour drive to American Muscle for a custom tune? I'm sure they can add the Throttle body and air intake like the Lethal kit.

Also, will these cars pass inspection with an off-road exhaust like the "x" pipe?

I would seek out a tuner, as you car already makes @ or near 600rwhp. Your goals can be discussed and a plan developed to meet that end. Canned tunes are fine, but nothing beats datalogging & a dyno.

Kooks mfgs. what they call a " green " X pipe that is supposed to pass inspections, not sure if it can be used outside of a header / X pipe install.

( a good tuner shop can answer that question )

I appreciate your input. That's what I was thinking, but I've only dealt with Vipers in the past so the tuner is a new concept to me. [ Gen. IV Vipers can't be modified beyond exhaust without engine lights] I am going to contact American Muscle and see what we can work out.

Lethal uses Jon Lund as their Tuner. Van at Revan Racing also uses Jon, and BJ at VMP Tuning are knowledgeable guys to talk to....

I too have heard a lot of good things about Jon and BJ. I'm going to make some calls tomorrow and get some info.
