Is anyone watching the Super Snakes at Mecum Kissimmee?

Recommended Posts

Last Saturday, a 2008 Vista 605/630 horse NASCAR 427 Coupe sold for $68K, and just a few minutes ago a 2009 Alloy Coupe with 8100 miles sold for $81K!!

Seems that "Pre and Post-Title" means very little if anything to current buyers, but the Shelby CSM and power means everything!

Like I mentioned many times in the past, it is not when the car was modded, it is "who" modded it, and supporting Shelby documentation

Dont believe I'd sell my 2008 Shelby Supersnake /427 for anything less than $100K

And I'd have to REALLY need the money at that. Lol

I understand..............but in comparision to what the Super Snake sales market has been in the recent past, these cars are doing very well.

Here are some sales from Mecum tonight. I missed the 2009 ss but was told it brought 82 to 85,000. There were several no sales such as a 2008 gt 500 kr 60,000. 69 boss 429 240,000. 67 eleanor vert 110,000. 68 gt 500 kr vert 155,000. 70 gt 350 62,000. the 66 gt 350 hertz 120,000. 71 mach 1 62,500. and a 2000 mustang cobra R was 40,000. The cars that were sold are as follows, 69 mach1 62,000. 64 1/2 mustang vert 42,000. 69 gt 350 vert 95,000. 69 429 b0ss 175,000. 67 gt 500 150,000. 65 mustang vert 30,000. These are the cars we watched sell but didn't get to the sale until 4 pm. Over all I think that the very good cars sold well or were sold after the auction. We left the sale before it was over, we have to pack up to move tomorrow but if we have time will go to the sale for a while on sat. This wasn't the best way to list the results but I hope works for every one.

The one that suprise me was this: http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/1010phr_1970_ford_mustang/viewall.html . It went for $70,000.

Also two of the red 2000 Cobra R's. One had 600 miles and the other 300 miles and never titled. The first went for $46K and the lower mileage car for $40K.

That is why I sold my 850 original mile 2000 Cobra R when I did in 2009.........the market was getting soft at that time, and it has not recovered.............same thing with the 1993 and 1995 Cobra R's.

What are your thoughts on the $70K BOSS9 Shelby? Resto-mod is Hot right now.......
