I had one on my Vette and was looking to get one for the shelby, i think it would look good with the black on the back of the car but haven't been able to find one at the local autoparts stores. curious if they even still sell them or if they are banned. bergenfelter Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 Most states have laws that prohibit using any type of plate cover - just an excuse for the cops to pull you over if they want to. When I appealed my ticket for a clear plate cover in MN - the hearing officer told me that people used them as a means to foil the intersection red light cameras - as I mentioned to him that red light cameras were outlawed in MN a year ago.
