xo5ox
I'm planing to change my tires to the Michelin pilot super sports and I was wondering what is the biggest or widest tire size I can put on the SVTPP wheels without widening them or modifying them in anyway ? On my '13 SVTPP I replaced my OE GY's with 285/40x19 fronts & 295/35x20 rears. They look & handle great, and gave me an extra inch front spoiler ground clearance for 95% less scrapping! braztang
Hey guys, Let me embark on this tread and seek for some inputs. I am out for a second set of wheels, however folks are asking TOO MUCH money for their OEM STPP wheels out there, so I was offered by a eBay seller, SHELBY wheels set of 20' for both front and rear, with NITTO Invo 2x255/35/20 front and 2x295/35/20 rear, mounted, balanced, TPMS installed (how to sync with the car?) and delivered for $2,500.00 brand new. I wonder if theses tires are good (I do not race), if I will have any issues of clearance with the 20' in the front or if it is going to be better for clearance. Any opinion is highly appreciated. Thank you folks, braztang

Thank you folks, braztang What Shelby wheel is it? Sounds like a good deal. And the sync tool is about $45 online, or you can get your Ford dealer to do it for you. Thank you folks, braztang What do you consider too much money? I have a set of the 2013 SVTPP wheels with 4800 miles on them that I was thinking of selling. The little I've checked the wheels are roughly $1800 a piece if you purchase them from Ford at list price. The 2013 has its own specific wheel with a serrated bead area to grip the tire better and stop the tire from rotating, along with a specific TPMS sensor that only fits that wheel and costs $150 each and at the moment can only be bought from Ford to fit that wheel or any other wheel machined to fit the 2013 GT500 TPMS. If they are selling the tires, wheels, and TPMS installed, tires mounted and balanced I would think anything below 50% the retail list price replacement costs would be a good deal on a used set. Since it would cost over $9000 to buy them at new retail list prices from Ford, along with the tires coming from Tirerack. I was thinking $3500 would be a very fair price for my used set. I'll sell the wheels and TPMS for $3000 and keep the tires if you're interested.

I set of Shelby's (either CS1 or CS70) with nitto tires, BRAND NEW with all installed and balanced + TMPS 2550, how about that! do you still think you will sell those wheels and tires for over 3K? Good luck. braztang

Yet you expect to buy them used for less than $0.20 on the dollar to replace them. At that cost ratio I'll keep them. They don't cost me anything to sit in my basement. Maybe you should contact Shelby America and see if they have any 2013 SVTPP wheel/tire take offs from a 2013 Super Snake conversion for sale in your price range. BS Racing
I just need to vent. Why does Mickey Thompson make "Street Comp The Ultimate UHP Tire For American Muscle" but not make a nice wide one for the rear of a Shelby? 275/40R20 is the widest in 20 they make a 285/35R19 that is granted only .2" wider tread width. I found the info here. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/street.php?item=StreetComp
