ilmor
I have ordered a set of these mufflers from Shelby Performance: http://www.ShelbyStore.com/product-p/11752.htm Today I removed the old mufflers; pics can be seen below. The driver side muffler is 3 or 4 years old (warranty replacement when original muffler rear hanger broke); the passenger side is an original, 5 to 6 years old (hanger also broke). The difference in quality between the two is obvious, especially w/ respect to the rear hanger / weld. When I get the new Borlas installed I'll post more pics, including before / after sound vids. EL SHELBY
Look forward to a full report on the sound. I packed up my OE mufflers and replaced them with straight pipe shortly after I purchased my SGT. Love the raw sound but it does drone down the highway. Ford Fest
The Borla Touring sound great! I'll be curious to see how the volume compares to your oem mufflers.
Anton Ruighaver
I did exactly what you're doing this past summer on my GT/SC and absolutely LOVE the sound... Just a bit louder and throatier when driving normally and sounds AWESOME when you get on it... Anton

ilmor
I'm ready to install 'em on the weekend immediately after I get 'em! Also with the old mufflers off I've been cleaning and detailing the underside/rear half of the SGT. I did the same to the front when I installed the brake duct kit. She's gonna look and sound spiffy in the spring!

Catalac
Be interested to hear a review on that model muffler from borla, I had the borla race and they had an unbearable to me drone at 1800-2200 rpm. ilmor
UPDATE The mufflers would have been delivered today, but I can't take off work to sign for them (the signature -required thing is a PITA - wish the Shelby Store allowed opt-out)...so, I'm having FedEx hold them and I'll have to drive the 16 mile round trip tomorrow morning to pick them up. Well at least ill have an excuse to take the 5.0 for a spin....
ilmor
OK, I picked up the mufflers from FedEx (P.I.T.A) and got them installed! Here is a link to some pics....I'll have better exterior rear views when I can get the SGT out of the garage. Also, in case your are interested in such, the Borla's shave over 4 lbs off the rear end of the car. http://s225.beta.pho...ouring Install? Also, here are before and after videos - taken by iPhone so not the best sound quality - but I think you can hear the throatier growl of the Borla's as opposed to the more raspy Ford Racing. You can also see that I cleaned up the rear chassis a bit when I had everything out of there.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14vVtiY4KhY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qs9rffWASwE Edited January 19, 2013 by ilmor

Not easy, but long-overdue, in my opinion. Jer

KCMO-GT500
wow.....shelby is offering a tremendous price reduction on these, and I just ordered a set. Once I went to an off road x pipe system on my 07 gt500, my corsa mufflers were way too loud, so I put the oem mufflers (same as on a gt auto) back on...so now its too quiet. Decided to go with a set of these a while back, and was just waiting to save up the money. I also obtained a KR-like h pipe from phrp....so hopefully will find a happy middle ground with a bit deeper sound. FYI....the shelby touring muffler is actually the borla touring muffler, which is the equivalent of the ford racing SVT1 muffler......all have a list price of about $750 and typically sell for about $600 or so....that $339 price is very good.
