svt13
Ok so here is an exhaust system besides the side exhausts that I may pull the trigger on. This is from corsa and as we all know corsa is actually one of the few makers that make a drone free exhaust. http://mustangsdaily...3-shelby-gt500/ This is so far the best sounding axle back I have seen from either borla and magnaflow. I like the black diamond finish. This exhaust literally sounds almost exactly like this hennessey venom gt skip towards the end in this video Waiting for someone to take the plunge before I do as usual EDIT: the only thing I don't like is I think 4'' tips are too big. The rear tips probably shouldn't be bigger than 3'' Edited December 13, 2012 by svt13
Kevin Patten
LOL - Are you looking for MORE mod remorse ? Those cans look like they hang down quite a bit (but the diamond black finish is sweeet !) They look like they belong on a corvette. It's ok I SWEAR I am almost done haha. http://www.corsaperformance.com/product_display.aspx?product=1149 on their website they look better. I like how they keep the cut the same unlike borla and magnaflow that made them shapped different from OEM. But again I'll wait for someone else to pull the trigger and post pictures before I do anything. Edited December 13, 2012 by svt13

mullens
Pretty hard to improve on the '13's stock sound. Expect the Corsa to be raspy with the X vs H pipe.
svt13
Won't be raspy if we just get the axle back which is what I am interested in

Kevin Patten
Like what ? Italian leather upholstery ? Shifter upgrade ? Stay focused - you need it to sound good first - get rid of the drone ! Just trying to help here.

GTO69
Doing an exhaust system is probably the best supporting mod you can do. Think about it like this, is it easier to breathe with your hand covering your mouth (stock exhaust system) or with no restriction on your mouth (aftermarket full exhaust system) and apply this when the car is under harsh performance. I did exhaust first for this exact reason, plus is sounds amazing once its freed up :happy feet: ….. just my 2 cents

The exhaust is already pretty freed up and on top of that all aftermarket alternatives sound like complete ass and drone when with past shelbys it was the opposite. So far corsa is the only company to come out with a proper sounding drone free exhaust that adds some hp. Right now my concern is not power. I rather use the 662 hp I already have. From my understanding its pretty much the same exhaust as the 2011-2012. So it’s two and three quarter inch tubing with the exact same bending as the 2011-2012, and then the same manifolds, which are very, and I cant emphasize “very” restrictive. Correct me if I’m wrong? svt13
Starting to sound like someone is having "mod remorse" plus the exhaust is not freed up in stock configuration by any means. I have mod remorse from putting on the UCA and watts link before having my dealership fix my car. Stupid of me to have done that. Now I have to go back to stock because they are pulling every excuse out of the book to not touch it because they are incompotent so I'll probably end up switching to the roush UCA and an adjustable panhard bar. May even sell my bobs LCAs and go with the roush LCA to avoid further bs from them.

svt13
Bummer - I think that I'd find another dealer to work with. The good dealer is a 45 minute drive away from me unfortunately. And I don't want to have to drive 45 minutes there then 45 min back every time there is a little problem with my car. I want to punch this service manager in the face. It's ok he will get fired soon. My dealership wipes their ass with service/sales managers like rolls of toliet paper. svt13
what a wonderful attitude, im actually shocked they don't want to help you Oh my attitude was perfectly nice untill they started lying and making excuses every change they got. I could make an entire very long ass thread on the antics they tried to pull to get out of this becuase their crap mechanic isn't smart enough to take off something so simple. My service manager is trying to protect him and I know that but come on. DON'T BE AN SVT TECH THEN. This is why SRT is making every dealership that sells the viper is 100% equipped to deal with that car to avoid crap like that. But again 130k car compared to 70k car. dave 316
listen, forget for a second that i think you are full of S**T on most of your posts. From their point of view they work on many, many cars. You come in with these "noises" I think it is safe to assume that you conduct yourself there, the same way you conduct yourself here. Strike one, now they look at the rear end of the car, and you have your mods done, strike two. I'm sure they are done correctly, but convincing them that they existed before the mods is going to be impossible even if it is true. Its like having an alignment issue on a brand new truck, then have a lift put in elsewhere and go back to the dealer for the pre existing alignment issue. they are not going to believe you. you make everyone here try to believe you have money to burn. you and only you reference your other cars, business dealings etc. Just pay your "mechanic" to fix the noises you are worried about. Problem solved.

Problem solved. What other cars? The shelby is my only car. I may reference past cars I have owned but the shelby is my only. And whether I have money to burn or not is irrelevant. It is the principal of the matter. And why should I spend 500 dollars on parts and another 200 on labor when it is something I did not break? I absolutely hate wasting money. If I made a million dollars a year I still wouldn't want to waste money. I conducted myself fine with them.I called them out on every bs story and lie because they think they are dealing with an ignorant customer but sorry not this fellow. And I just act like an ass to you because of your attitude. And again a dealership 40 minutes away from me says the same thing. That my dealership are lazy, incompotent, pieces of sh** and they will fix my car no problem. I just didn't want to have to drive 40 minutes every time I want something fixed but it looks like its unavoidable.
