Grabber
So sorry to hear that tough times have caused you to sell. Keep your chin up and if you can go to the bash....do go. You do not need a Shelby to attend. The event is more about the people.

ilmor
Sorry to see this and it must be really tough. Sounds to me though that you'll be back soon, plus as Grabber said its more about the people; family and friends.
rocky
I am sorry to hear this, but I truly hope as time passes so will your problems and that one day you will enjoy sitting behind the wheel of another shelby. Hang in there and keep fighting.
verlyn12
A few years ago when we were in a previous drought we had to sell our boat to make land payments. Selling the boat wasn't the issue=it was the fact that we had to so I know what you mean. My hope for you is that the new year brings better times. Moncho
Share the same thoughts as many that have replied. Just remember as long as you have your health everything else will fall into place, it'll be a matter of time before your back in the saddle. Best of luck! Ecrissman
It is sad that you've had to resort to selling your Shelby. You obviously have your priority's correct. Always remember better days are ahead. There was a time in my life that I also had to make some difficult financial decisions. I believe there will come a time where you will come back out on top. Things do happen for a reason, I would still go to the event as others said its about friends and family.

Grabber
Sounds like you we're able to get rid of a car payment and pay cash for a used Vette and have 10k left over for other needs by selling your Shelby. My 2 cents - save up cash to buy your next Shelby so you will not be put in this situation again.
Ecrissman
I guess based on your original message I made the foolish assumption that you fell on hard times and had to sell your car for survival. I’m not asking but I HOPE you have a plan if things don’t go right. To me thinking of only having $10,000 to survive puts a sick feeling in my stomach. Granted the OP opened the discussion but give him a break. Edited November 23, 2012 by Snake Handler
