mustangrich
I have a 2012 Shelby Gt 500. I have noticed when I get on it through 3rd or 4th gear pretty good I have a strong exhaust smell inside with the windows up while still rolling. I believe if memory serves me right the AC would be on and in the inside circulation position. I'm wondering is this is normal, does anyone have any insight on this. ingram4868
Certainly not normal and could be dangerous if you're driving with the windows up.
sweenstang
Doesn't sound right to me. I have a pretty sensitive sniffer and would detect that in mine, but no hint of exhaust smell any time. Could indeed be dangerous. Get it checked under warranty. Ecrissman
Nope, not normal.
IngotSilverSnake
No such smell in my 2012. Have you made any mods to the car?
Torched10
if you dont have many miles on it, it could be the cats breaking in--if not its not normal and could be dangerous if its exhaust fumes
aclass
No such smell on my 2012 either on the inside, but it's very strong on the outside. I pull the car out of the garage immediately after starting and I've had people make comments from riding behind me. I have no cats. rocky
I have a 2012 and have 7600 miles on it and never had any exhaust smell inside the car, you need to address that asap.
RazorbackMustang
Could you better describe exhaust smell? You're probably smelling the cats getting hot. Not fuel exhaust smell but an egg exhaust smell?
mustangrich
Have about 4k miles on it. No mods. Definitly not cat's. It's pure exhaust. Only does it when I get down on it pretty good. Taking it to dealership next week and will post what they say about it.
