Are these real GT500KR tires from 2008?

Thanks. He doesn't have any front tires though.

Yes sir, they have the stripes in the tread and wingfoot logo on the sidewalls.

Do those stripes wear off or are they in the rubber.

If anyone has a lead on the original front tires, please let me know.

Not that in 2,000 miles I need new tires yet, just planning ahead.

It's not like I go bombing around, wildly exceeding the speed limits.

But I enjoy getting to the speed limit veeeery quickly.

I like to say I'm the "King Of Zero to the Speed Limit". I love the acceleration and power, but I've never been a "top speed" guy. Unless I'm doing the LA-Vegas run and just wanna get home. LOL

As for KR tires, call Kameron at SPP next week at 702-405-3500, he can probably hook you up.

Will do.

I am planning in advance, as they say.

I have such good traction with my build, I hardly smoke my tires at all. The wonders of the Torsen T2 and antihop UCAs/LCAs I guess. And a good tire. If you don't have a tire you like, you have nothing.

As rocket like as this Shelby is, and the learning curve over the last 2.5 months and 2,000 miles, to be honest, I think I could skillfully use another 100HP.

In a year or so, I'll be calling Frankie.

Don't tell my wife though.

Tires get old sitting arround even if you dont use them. They are not like wine getting better with age. The compounds brake down and on a high performance car it might not be a good idea to use them. If you want origional tires just for shows than get a set but if you plain on useing them every day then get a new set of tires when you need them
