Nice job. There's a whole bunch of rust under these Shelby's. I seen mine this past Saturday for the first time. I was thinking of brushing mine on with semi black rustoleum in fear of overspray.

Semi gloss is just what i used. Just tape off and cover the hole car with plastic to seal it off!!! then, the removal of bk line/slip senser/springs.......elc you get the pitcher...eather way take your time fore if your thinking of this then you love this car .............and thats not a bad thing....IMO...dave...

What about taking it in and having Rhino liner spray put on? If you can find someone who would take their time is is this stuff no good for your car?

IMO..... paint should be just fine and more controllable/repairable for this project

Nice looking job Dave. I just painted mine also using Krylon Semi Flat and it looks a world better. Looks like you put on a lowering kit? And also you say something about the fender well. What did you do to it? and tell me about the lowering kit too. Thanks

Great post, I did start chuckling though at the cut out mat you have that you park the car on, you are truly obsessed!

Too funny, but very cool.

Im glad someone else things that besides me!!! Whenever he did that, I just walked out shaking my head in total dis-belief!!!!! I had asked why a grey carpet and not the full royal treatment and go with the red carpet...Give it time!!! :hysterical2::hysterical2:

He probably tried red first, realized he couldn't actually wax carpet to make it reflect the car, so he went with the gray.

For his B-Day maybe you should get him a long rectangular mirror to slide up in between the wheels and then stick one to the cieling. This way he can inspect every facet of the car while standing beside / in front / behind it. :hysterical2:

You did a great job on the painting, very inspiring!

Need some advice. Is it okay to lift a car by the rear differential? I have read many places that this is not advised, but also see a lot of people do it. Looks like you lifted it just to place the floor jacks in place. Did you notice any damage to the housing?

are you guys cleaning off the rust first?

YES !!!!!! The rust on my car was not to bad so i wiped it down with ZLR and medal prep, some sanding [not much] a thin coat of primer ,scuff and 3 coat sem-gloss black and then the clean up ...... oh ya i waxed it ....what ??? I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM...... :hysterical2::hysterical2::hysterical2::hysterical2: OK just a little........ :banghead:

Yes Ive herd that also but never have i had any prob with that...Altho this car i did raise it by lifting the left and right side then setting the car on jack stands ..I just set the floor jack under the diff for safety and to do slight lifts when adjustments are needed...The back of this car is very light and prob is not a big deal to do short lifts IMO but if thy say NO then i prob should not do it eather.............FOUND NO DAMAGE...........Dave.......
