Seabee
Has anyone used the WeatherTech battery tender? Looking to see if it is a good one or what others have used for storage of their cars. Thanks. Pete
Afdharley
Not familiar with this brand. I use the battery tender brand for my motorcycles and like it a lot. Others will have different opinions, just make sure you choose me that charges the battery, then monitors and maintains it. You don't want it to boil the battery. Looking to see if it is a good one or what others have used for storage of their cars. Thanks. Pete I am not sure about this specific brand, however I remember reading another thread on here about battery tenders others have used. I will search when on a pc for the link. I am in the market for 2 of them for this winter as well.
IngotSilverSnake
I highly recommend CTEK chargers. Not cheap but really high quality. I use them for all my vehicles. Here is the specific charger I think is best for the Shelby: http://www.amazon.com/CTEK-Multi-7002-Battery-Charger/dp/B000FRLO9Y

Had one problem(in about 10 years), and they replaced it free(just paid shipping). The price is very fair & I wouldnt use anything else.

Used it to maintain my boat battery but recently converted the boat to a dual battery setup with an onboard charger so I have this one just sitting around. PM me in interested. CMG
Compare features and you will see that CTEK wins out. I would go with part# 56-864. It will do it all. May do things you dont need now but will in the future. Very fairly priced.
Seabee
Looking at the WeatherTech ALL UNIVERSAL 2000 (Part # 8BWBCHR200) and the CTEK Multi US 3300 (part #56-158) The only different looks to be color and name. Specs even look similar. I called WeatherTech and they do not manufacture the battery tender, so one would assume it is the CTEK. I appreciate all the help the CTEK looks like the one.
