lbj
Edit: It's a replica. Darn. Apparently, according to Richard: "I just heard it is 1 of 6 Aluminum body continuation cars built by someone named McKlusky who is licensed to build them." The transport truck, which had been at an auction in California, arrived to pick up my GTS yesterday afternoon. The driver/owner was re-arranging the order of his load and look what popped out. Richard was present and snapped these photos. Take a look. Edited August 22, 2012 by lbj
jnf
Great pics. Which transport company are you using?? Just curious. Also, good looking GTS. Good luck with the new ride.

Thanks. It's a 624HP Eibach suspension GTS. I am using O'Leary. He is based out of my area. It's 800 dollars for shipping one way. I don't know what the going rate is. Darn, I had hopes this Daytona Coupe was the real deal. Sorry, false alarm. It's still nice though. Edited August 22, 2012 by lbj
David Hawkins
Well.......If it is Licensed by and an Official Product of Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. then that will be as close as you can get to the real thing unless SAI is also producing them. These Daytona Coupes are done by Mike McClusky, The 1st one was Done over a 20 year period, to Exact specs as original, with the help of Lynn Parks, Dave Draille, Carol Shelby, and Pete Brock. They build one at a time for 350,000+.Frank
lbj
So, basically, it is the real deal then. Cool.
