Lifting SGT - even Race Jack won't reach. Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

I always use a 2 jack approach. On the front I use the low profile jack from Harbor Freight at the jack point on the rocker panel to get the car high enough to use my standard floor jack under the subframe. At that point the car is high enough to use either jack stands, or to put ramps under the tires. If the front is then to high to slide the floor jack under the rear end, I just repeat the 2 jack approach for the rear also. It really makes it pretty straight forward.

I bought race ramps a while ago, multi purpose. I drive onto the ramps and use my Craftsman 4 ton jack to lift it.

I knew someone had something like this - a "jacking insert" from Revan Racing! Nice billet piece!

Yes, but there has been some concern with these and the SGT/GTH front rocker covers.

I'm not a big fan of jacking up a car since I've bought Race Ramps but one jack that fits under everything is this one. It fit under my CSX cobra with no problem. It's pricey, but it'll last forever. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/2-ton+floor+jack.do
