Just like the article states, these components may be testing for completely different cars. That steering wheel could be electronics testing for the Focus. The stereo may be testing for the F150 or other cars. Often, test mules test all kinds of different components for multiple vehicles. The lower shift console is obviously out of the current car. You gotta take all these things with a grain of salt...... That may be the stereo for the new car, but may be placed differently. Remember that test mule is a current car with things stuck in there just for testing purposes.

I agree, although I don't think that is the stereo, unless that is a "Base Stereo" I see screens getting bigger as the trend has been. ESPECIALLY Navigation screens, but that may very well be the bas e stereo.

I can't see sticking a big screen navigation in there making it any more good looking lol. Given the test mules I don't think they are changing the body style THAT much. I think they will change the front end obviously, maybe the rear a tad and probably keep the tail lights because they don't look retro at all now. But I think this is not going to be a completely new redesign. But that is good because if they keep the chasis more or less and just put an IRS in there, then all of us can do IRS swaps with our current cars. All problems solved then.

This console looks like a 20k cheap economy car now. Here is the first step backwards now lets see what else they do.

Yeah I agree with the rest here...I don't think much of spy photos this early on...I will say this though the 15's will be alot less

retro IMO.

It's way too early to judge anything at all. People putting the 2015 down already is a bit much...this is probably barely anything like it will be. I can't wait to see the OFFICIAL car.

Do you remember the Mustang II? My fear is that Ford is going to make the same kind of mistake. An "international" car is not going to please those of us that love the current American icon.

Yeah...I remember that car...but again...nobody has any idea what the body style or engine line up will be for sure. I can't see Ford shooting itself in the foot however. Just a lot of speculation and such from people basing their opinions out of fear. I'm 100% looking forward to a sleek modern all world mustang. And if some people don't like the 2015 - Ford isn't going to come around and collect all of the 08-14 cars from the owners. You can keep your current car and enjoy it.

I must admit that I'm less than enthusiastic about what we've seen so far from the 2015. Having said that, most of what we've seen on the internet is sketches speculating on the design, and now this test mule's interior that looks unfinished, to say the least, so there is still hope for the 2015. What I'm hoping for is a car that will have a more modern chassis (including IRS), while retaining the look and feel of a Mustang, as well as a powerful V8 as an option. I don't mind an Ecoboost 4 cylinder as the base engine to improve Ford's CAFE numbers, but the V8 should remain for those of us who want a typical american muscle car.

I remember the II, in my opinion every current mustang owner should get down and kiss the next one they see. If it wasn't for the best selling mustang (at it's time) the mustang would not be turning 50 next year.

BTW there is less Pinto in a Mustang II than Falcon in a 64

You can kiss the next Mustang II if you want but I will pass. I was raised in the muscle car era of the 60's. Based on its heritage, that car (regardless of sales) did not deserve to wear the Mustang name.
