Torched10
anyone have any experience with the GT 500 after market shffter balls offered by Shelby in different colors?/They get mixed reviews as to fitment, but look pretty cool
billk2011
They are nice, much better if it was sold with the retainer/jam nut included. I do prefer the smaller diameter factory shifter ball.
Goose17
Got mine from EPCOshiftknobs.com. Nice ball, dark blue with white snakes both facing forward on the sides.
jskup1
Received mine last week, but I'm still waiting on my jamnut to get delivered before I install it.

Crushinator
The only thing I truely do not like about my car is the baseball knob I grab to shift it. I wish someone would come up with a traditional knob like the ZL1 Camaro has. Much more ergonomic and the suede has to feel a hell of a lot better in your hand than what we have now. I've driven in both. To be honest the ball is so much easier to shift. I just hate that its white. Where is this nut or w/e everyone is getting so these shifter balls fit with the stock equipment? aclass
So am I understanding you guys correctly that I need another part (jam nut) after buying the $70 ball from this site?
jskup1
You can buy just the ball, but then there is a gap between the ball and the boot. The "jamnut" is the sleeve inbetween.

So the stock jam nut under the 2012 shifter ball doesnt work?
jskup1
I read where someone was able to get their's off the stock knob and file down the top so it would fit, but for $20, I didn't want to risk damaging it.
10SHELBY
Ok I am about to order the ball so you are saying I also need to order a jam nut? Where can I get it and what should I ask for? Thanks in advance for any help offered. Rudy

svt13
There's one 8 posts back. Oops just saw it. So you got the frosted version? Is that what is most closely looking to the stock one? Also would you be able to take a bigger picture because that one is super small
jskup1
Yes, that is the frosted one. I keep trying to post bigger pics here. I'm using the highest resolution on my camera and even using photobucket to host them and they still come out small. WTF am I not doing!

10SHELBY
Any idea when then the new ball colors will be available? I thought I saw a thread but I can not find it now. I need a red ball with silver stripes. Rudy
Goose17
Go to EPCO, they ARE the manufacturer and can pretty much do whatever you want. Speed dawg gets their balls from them if I'm not mistaken.

Goose17
Get the thread size from Speed Dawg though: https://www.speeddawg.com/shifter-thread-sizes EPCO will ask you what size thread you need.
