BobsShelbyDakota
Brand new indeed but $200,000.00? http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item1c29c91e56
sdac guy
The info the guy states in the ad about selling order is completely incorrect (but makes for a good story). Nice truck though! $200K? Not from me, even if I had it.
shelbymotorsports
$200K is so unrealistic its beyond funny. Carroll's GLHS #001 wouldn't even fetch that amount of money. As Barry mentioned the claim of the trucks selling order is bogus along with their incorrect info on the lite bar. It is a cool piece of preserved history. You have to chuckle at the drooping headliner and the rear view mirror that has fallen off. Even when undriven the Dodge cars seem to fall apart on you. Strange that there is no mention of its running condition. If the truck has truely been parked since it rolled off the transporter in 1989 there is going to be issues on getting it running again. Larry T
A nice piece of history but at $200K there are other/better things to buy.
BobsShelbyDakota
That "Certificate of Origin for a Vehicle" Is that something that came with every Shelby Dakota and is it possible to get a replacement?
shelbymotorsports
That "Certificate of Origin for a Vehicle" Is that something that came with every Shelby Dakota and is it possible to get a replacement? Yes those Shelby MSO's went with every Dakota other than the California bound trucks. No replacements are available. Steve
dakconvert
I'm pretty sure when I first saw this listing the buy-it-now price was only $20k. It was definitely the same ad, so I was pretty surprised the next day when it said $200k. Even at $20k it was probably a stretch.

glhs0075
Highest price for a Shelby Dodge? I can't remember what the CSX at BJ went for. I must be getting old.
shelbymotorsports
Highest price for a Shelby Dodge? I can't remember what the CSX at BJ went for. I must be getting old. That CSX went for $30k but if you recall we are not sure if it actually sold. Also that CSX was a prototype so this Dakota would be a record for a regular production Shelby Dodge. And honestly we have to say the same thing about this Dakota, did it really sell? The winning bidder has a 100% bid history with the seller and if legit, the bidder did not do himself a service by bidding multiple times over several days with his last bid placed over 10 hours before the auction closed. Hate to be so cynical but if your gut says JDLR there's usually a reason why. JDLR= just doesn't look right. And let me add that if everythig is legit then I say all this can do is help the Shelby Dodge prices. Steve
Dakota561
That is exactly why I used the term "may have sold" I hope it was a good sale, so the prices may move up a little.
GLHS0136
I paid $20k for mine back in '99. It had 4k miles on it then and I wanted white. I guess if i didn't have mine, i would have paid $30k for this one. It doesn't have its light bar though. I enjoy my truck
glhs0075
I too prefer the white ones. And for $30k I'd want my light bar! LOL
