2nd2none
I had a shop install the Shelby Radiator (http://www.shelbystore.com/Shelby-GT500-Extreme-Duty-Radiator-p/z12-s7m-8005-c.htm), heat exchanger and a few other mods at the same time a long time ago. Last night I took the front clip off my car for the first time as I had to pull the upper and lower grills out to finish removing stripes that extended under the grills. When doing this I was looking at the air filter snorkel that comes up to the upper grill. Apparently ever since they installed the radiator my snorkel hasn't been receiving any air. The tube coming from the intake hits the new radiator and won't line up with the piece on the grill. Anyone else with this radiator have the same problem or did the shop screw up the install some how? I don't have my stock radiator to measure in the Shelby unit is actually wider. Nitro
Shelby radiator is not wider, it is thicker. I'd talk to whoever did your install, clearly they did not put everything back together properly.

Are you sure they put in a 2010 or newer radiator? The earlier versions don't have the notch for the cold air tube where as the later versions do. If the notch isn't there, the tube won't fit like it's supposed to. Easy to tell, just look at the area next to the tube. If it's straight, it's the wrong one. If it's notched, it's right and possibly the shop installed the tube wrong. There's a stud on the radiator shroud that hold the tube in place. If the used it on one of the other holes, that might be the problem too. Phill

I just looked at the link I posted above again and can see that notch you're talking about. Mine definately doesn't have that. I noticed the stud where the tube is supposed to hook on to and its not used. The hole in the tube is a good 1"+ away. I guess being a couple years old would make returning it to Shelby for the right one would be out of the question? Can't believe the shop never mentioned it when obviously it doesn't fit right. Was the 2010+ available when you got yours? If it was, then the shop ordered the wrong one and I'd put that squarely on their shoulders. They could always sell the one you have to someone with a 2009 or earlier. It certainly can't hurt to try... Phill

I see now Shelby has changed the part numbers and it looks like they only sell the newer models with the cutout and say its good for all years. I'm going to try contacting C&R directly as that was where it was orignally drop shipped from. Definately won't hurt to try but not really expecting much as its been a little over 2 years already.
