GT500Viking
Just brought the new kid home yesterday. Been bustin' butt with clay bar/wax/detail and just finished about an hour ago. Man is my ass tired; I'm getting old bruthas. Over the next few days, I'll post up some more pics and for what it's worth, my impressions of the car. I can say without a doubt I'm already in . So smooth and tight, only have about 20 miles on the odo, but plan on upping that ASAP. For those of you still sitting tight and waiting for your baby to show... this car is absolutely worth waiting for! Cheers, Smitty

farmboy90
Damn I love that color combo. Well done Sir. And thank god you got the glass roof!! People just don't know what they are missing by skipping that option. You dressed her well!
Snoopy49
Red has to be the hardest to photograph color available. It always turns out more orange than red. If the 2013 GT500 had been available in orange with black stripes I would have ordered one. Nice car, can't wait until I get mine.
GT500Viking
Thanks gents! I owe the color combo and Recaros/Glass Roof choice to my wife Gail. She really was the driving force behind this car. Yes, I'm a lucky SOB to have her in my life. A few more quick pics. REALLY need a shower and some dinner. Red has to be the hardest to photograph color available Yes, I agree! Now, me... always had a soft place in my heart for Grabber Orange. I'll take a '69 GT500 as such, please! Cheers! 2010KonaBlueGT
I owe the color combo and Recaros/Glass Roof choice to my wife Gail. She really was the driving force behind this car. My 2012 Raptor is Race Red with the contrasting black hood & side graphics. I *love* the color combo and I get a ton of compliments on the truck. More than I get with my Kona Blue/white 2010 GT500. Pictures do not do it justice. It looks SO much better IRL. Nice car, enjoy! Phill
GT500Viking
Nice car, enjoy! Phill Thanks Phill! Just driving the car home, I was astounded how many more "looks" this car grabbed compared to our subdued Silver/Blue KR. Take care, Smitty

GT500Viking
Smitty!!! That's one sweet ride my friend! Hey George (32V_SVT)! Man, as I said, I can't say thanks enough for the lift over to the Reliable Carriers yard Wednesday. This week is an awesome Shelby week. Scored the '13 and today we're going to be wrenching George's car, adding a bigass KB blower, MGW shifter and Fays2 Watts Link. I'll see you in a bit over an hour brother. Gorgeous and congrats!! Great Color combo as others have said!! Alex Alex, thanks guy! We've crossed paths at the 50th Anniversary and at Fab Fords Knott's Berry Farm. Never had the chance to chat, but I wanted to share that your red vert was a car that had a major impact on Gail's choice for colors. As I recall, it was at the Thursday night Guitar Center event that she had the chance to stare at your vert for a bit , and it really played a part in her final decision. Cheers mate! I agree no color matches a muscle car like red...Congrats she's a beauty..and keep the rubber side down. Thanks and amen Keith. I sincerely hope my crashing days are past... 30 years of riding/racing motocross and desert here in So Cal has left me pretty busted up. Replacement left knee, both hips replaced, broken just about every damn bone on some part of my bod at one time or another. Really enjoy just driving these days, and mostly getting sore from hours upon hours of pampering these Shelbys. Thanks guys for the kind comments and as always... cheers! ITLMOVE
Congrats! I have the same color combo (minus the glass roof). I dropped it off at a shop this AM for 20% tint. After seeing yours, I know it will look great.

Snoopy49
Red was my number one choice, but then I remembered that bulls weren't the only things attracted by the color red.

3ponies
Looks great! For now our only Red in the garage is a Ruby Red 2013 Escape, not really a good comparison . Love the pics, nice combo for sure..

165MPHGT500
Looks very hot . . . Congrat's. I've taken mine out twice a day everyday for run and sometimes more if time allows. I love the looks I get from those around me. Ran up on a 12 today Red on Black. That's a nice looking combo too. I'm guessing there aren't too many bad looking combos amongst us owners and future owners. Mine is best . . .
GT500Viking
Thanks folks! And I agree that there are really no "bad" colors on these cars. Nice Car!, congrats. Where in So cal you located? I'm up in Yorba LInda. Raptor, I'm down in Redondo Beach. So are a few more guys. But we've got Shelby friends pretty much scattered all over So. Cal. I have a buddy with an '08 KR that is out near you, and a good friend with an '09 GT500 that lives in Pasadena. Cheers! Smitty
