Now I wonder what it wold have been like to run LeMans or Daytona in one of those. If it had been me and they pulled me out of th ecar I'm pretty sure the smile on my face would have made me look like one of the Jokers victims!

You should hear an original GT40. With the short pipes and trumpes they are REALLY LOUD! They fire up J7 at the Shelby party every year.

Well, don't tease us like that. Post a sound clip at least. I am willing to sacrifice my speakers to hear that!

Appreciate you sharing the clip (wonderful sound that small block V-8 makes!). The way he was passing other cars on the track, I'm guessing that he qualified for a pretty decent position on the starting grid ;)

You'll have to come to the annual Shelby American Collection party to hear J7. All I can tell you is that when they lit it up INSIDE THE BUILDING everyone covered their ears. It didn't break glass on the windows or display cases but it could have. From a distance you felt it in your chest as much as heard it. An amazing sound.

The party is Sept 8 this year. Come on up to Boulder!
