6f09
I installed a spare tire-jack-lug wrench w/holder-instructions f/2007 Mustang GT.$175.oo(junkyard). Drove it a mile and did "figure eights" with it.With the spare on the front.& back. . NO PROBLEMS! Jack clearence (w/tire deflated) minus 3-3/8" for side wall Front = minus 3/16" Rear = minus 3/8" need 2"x4"x6" wood to drive up on, to rase the car for Jack clearence. Tire sizes. stock = R235/50-18 = 26-1/2" tall. BFG spare = T155/70-17 = 25-3/4" tall Matrex Wheel well lip to ground measurment. stock spare no tire FRONT 27-13/16" 26-7/8" 24-5/8" = Jack down rotor 1-1/2" f/ground REAR 28-1/8" 27-3/4" 25-1/8" = Jack down shock bracket on ground. I feel safer with a spare instead of the fix-a-fat GOD Bless Jim 07SGT5466.

Remember: 50/50 Not over 50 mph and not over 50 miles! That's why it's for emergency use only! Sam
Frank S
i wouldn't drive far with a spare on the back. can ruin the the differential definitely good work though. ive thought about putting a spare in. just never seem to get around to it lol I don't have any experience with the stock Ford jack included with the Mustang GT spare, but I know that using a floor jack on the front jacking point will raise a rear tire off the ground far enough to get both wheels off. if long-distance travel on the "compact spare" is inevitable a useful front could be switched to the back. That clearance-for-the-jack-when-a-tire-is-flat problem is very real. A piece of two-by-four might be sufficient, but I have a tapered section of four-by-four I carry on long jaunts through empty countryside.. springer
Here is what I carry in the trunk to place under the tire to help get the car raised so the jack will fit. It is a pair of 2"X8" pine glued together. The extra 4" can make the difference in fitting the jack properly so it will raise the car.

Chance.316
Do any of you guys know how large of a size rim will fit in that little spot? Can I squeeze a 235 standard rim with tires inflated in there? It would be nice to have a 5th as a spare.
EL SHELBY
A 235/50/18 will fit, kind of. Its real snug and the carpet will not lay flat. If the tire is under 26" tall and less than 9" wide I think it will fit with no issues. The 235 is 27" tall and over 9" wide. The OE spar is ~25.5" tall and ~4.25" wide.
