Amigo GT500
Having changed the upper and lower grilles in the front of my 2012 I decided to go and change the rear as well. So with the Mike R's help (the best guy) from Tousley Ford who sent me all the necessary parts (they are not cheap) the local shop started doing the job. So I stopped by yesterday to see how it was going....I was anxious to know if all the parts fitted and at the end I couldnt be more happier to see the results ......hera are the pictures.... Amigo GT500
There are still some pieces not installed: reflectors, plastic piece where the license plate is, and the plastic piece between the exhaust....you can see this piece in this picture. I will send to have it CF.... I want to say something about this piece. I had to use this piece from BOSS302 or California Special Edition models which comes with one exhaust. As you know the GT500 comes with quad exhaust....

Do the tail lights plug right in to the existing plugs? Phill
Amigo GT500
The installation of the tail lights were very easy. As for install, simple as could be. They are plug & play. There are 4 retainers holding the truck panel. Once removed, there are 3 nuts to remove on the old taillamps. Then unplug and push the rubber grommet thru. New ones just slide in, bolt them up, and plug them in. Took all of 10 minutes. Dont install the 2013 tail lights in the 2012 bumper. You will get a gap between the tail lights and the bumper.... No mi amigo...I will leave those exhaust since they are from Ford Racing, sound nice and cost me too much money!! For that reason I got that piece from the Boss 302 and not from GT500.....I will post more pictures when is painted. About how much was the rear facia part, not including the lower? I had a garage accident with my 2010 GT500 and munched mine. No damage to the metal body, just the rubber/plastic rear facia (on the right rear corner). It's not very bad and can probably be easily repaired but I'm really anal about repairing something so I might buy a whole new piece and have it painted & striped rather than repair the original one. Just curious. I could check with my local dealer but I keep forgetting to when I'm in there. TIA, Phill

patrickshelby
So my Amigo, the 2013 rear lights are a plug and play connection with everything working like it should (LED lights and so on...)? The rear light are plug & play....no any modifications........I am anxious to see how it looks like when is painted. The paint shop has not called me yet. I am still waiting for one reflector (I only got the left one) and the plastic piecewhere the license plate is located. And about the lower fascia I will have to wait until first week of July because Southeast Carbon guys are on vacation....And this situation also happens with the front splitter. I sould be receiving next Tuesday but again I will have to wait for the SCF guys.... Happy Fathers Day amigo, Jorge

I think you are the first person to do this...that in itself is cool! B) I think it looks great with your overall car. The only thing I would do is pull off the the "SVT" and "SCT" emblems that you have on the trunk lid. I personally don't care for them. Other wise...I love the look of your car. It's good to know that we can do this backend conversion (although it costs a lot). Thanks to you!
