old man
I have the delete plates. The manifold looks nicer, but I was told by Brenspeed that the performance improvement was the same for both on a stock motor.
JT93
I installed the FRPP manifold and love it. I agree with old man that it does look nicer, and more prominent, in the engine bay. Price wise the delete plates are cheaper, but the manifold looks nicer. Totally depends on what you want, and how much recognition you want at a car show. EL SHELBY
My understanding is that the manifold will support higher RPM permitting more HP where the plates will provided higher torque at lower RPM.
07SGTC
How does the octane of gas cme into play? 91 or 93 octane. 91 octane is tops at the pump in California.
TheKurgan
It's never really a question of which is better, but which is better for your application. The FRPP manifold will make more power at higher RPM and it also distributes the intake more efficiently. The drawback to it is it's big. It gets in the way of strut tower braces and if you add other modifications like fuel rails or superchargers, it can cramp things.
Larry T
Before I went with the Whipple I was looking at the Paxton / FR intake set-up.
