luvchevs
Thanks for your reply. Trying to understand what options were available from Shelby on the 40th besides what came in the package. Appears chrome wheels were an upgrade option HP option(s)? Brake option(s)? Shifter option(s)? ???? I haven't been able to find this info. DougD
Most of the SS options were available, exceptions would be wheels and hood for sure. Like many others, I have HP and brakes added to the package. Doug 07XL0218
Slabo
The only choice with the 40th package was the color of the wheels (chrome, black, silver or anthracite) The latest options that were offered during a 40th package or a SuperSnake package when the 40th's were being built: - Leather interior (with or without a console cover, shifter boot, e-brake boot or steering wheel wrap) - Cooling package (radiator, tanks and heat exchanger w/ 8" fans) - Shelby (Baer) Brakes (6P front/14" rotors with larger 13" rear rotors or 6P/14" rotors front and rear) - Shelby 1st gen (blue) shifter or FRPP short shifter Standard Super Snake options that could also be added to a 40th: - SC upgrade: either 605hp TVS or 725hp KB. (605hp only on convertibles) - 3.73 rear gears - Dynotech one piece drive shaft (not sure if anyone did this or not?)

Dave Keep in mind that you cannot order a new 40th from Shelby or anyone else. Production has stopped at the very rare and low number of 312. SSSNAKE
Thanks for the link. I have seen this. It lists what the equipment is that is included in the 40th package but no info on options. I'm not sure if you just want the information or want to see it on official Shelby literature but Slabo's depiction (above) is as current (read accurate) as you'll find I believe. There is a brochure for sale on e-bay but I'm not sure that all the options available were listed at the time the brochure was published as the list "evolved" over time. If you have a particular car that you are looking at most of us 40th types can help you sort out any questions/concerns you may have.

No the options were never put in a brochure. You just discussed them with the sales person at Shelby when you ordered your 40th. Here is the original 40th brochure. gt500_40th.pdf gt500_40th.pdf
