Is that aftermarket or a ford option. If you punch it at 20mph in 1st or 2nd you can literally melt the tires on this car.He wants to race my 2010 ss camaro and I am running out of excuses. Yep, Steeda was not an option. Do you know if the supercharger is stock? As you could get the 40th with "SuperSnake upgrades" ie. TVS (coupe or convertible) or Kenne Bell (coupe only) however, with a Steeda pulley it is most likely stock. Lol, I don't think you're going to find an excuse that'll work. tlitz
All 40th made are made with silver stripes, no matter if the shelby had another color stripe before change or no stripe. The silver stripe sets the 40th apart. Congrats on your find!!

I love it and can't wait to find out more about the vehicle. Hi Steve! Like tlitz said, they ALL came with with (special) silver stripes so the previous owner must have removed them. I can't imagine why they would remove the stripes 'cause that's what makes this car unique and to tell you the truth I've never been partial to red cars but when I saw my 1st 40th (and it was red), I said WOW that's sharp! (The silver stripes really make them pop). Beautiful car man! BTW, are you and your dad going to Calisle next weekend?

flynn929
Does anyone know how many 07 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary Torch Red non-racing stripes were made? I have one and I was told there were only 20 made, I just want to make sure the facts are straight.
Anton Ruighaver
None... All of the 40ths had Silver stripes, and by all accounts, there were no exceptions... Did you happen to buy 07XL0215? If so, see this thread: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php/topic/78614-07xl0215-for-sale/ Anton

If you're asking about 07XL0125 then yes there were 20 red coupes with no additional cost options just like #215. Keep in mind that this build number has nothing to do with stripes as ALL 40th Anniversary cars had stripes, no such thing as a stripe delete on the 40th Anniversary cars. Ford Fest
Flynn, you can buy the stripes from SPP if interested. The stripes really set it off. Keep us posted

flynn929
Tungsten grey metallic is the color for all the 40th anniversary cars right?
Sherri Leicht
Special Shelby satin silver is the stripe color. You may need to talk to a body at Shelby or get in touch with mrfarmdog aka John Farmer. http://www.stuckonyougraphics.com I think Tungsten is darker.
