Roush GR40
I see that the 2013 GT500 has upgraded both front and rear brakes. How long before I can buy for my 2012?

patrickshelby
This post should be named "2013 parts swap on older models" or "2013 Brembo's on 2007-2012 GT500..." Same question about the carbon fiber one piece driveshaft Same question about the front headlights Same question about the grilles and frt splitter (many posts about this one already) Same question about the wheels (be it the track or std 2013 wheels) Same question about the TVS (at least one post about this...already)
69er-sagittarius
It would be interesting to know which parts from 2013 could be swapped without fitment issues to the 2011/2012 ? A list about the possible parts would be great. Was not already a thread written about these thoughts in the forum?
svt13
This post should be named "2013 parts swap on older models" or "2013 Brembo's on 2007-2012 GT500..." Same question about the carbon fiber one piece driveshaft Same question about the front headlights Same question about the grilles and frt splitter (many posts about this one already) Same question about the wheels (be it the track or std 2013 wheels) Same question about the TVS (at least one post about this...already) Number 1 someone is selling the front gt500 brembos right now for 1150 in the classified section Number 2 it can be retrofitted but it takes a lot of work because of some bolt at the end or something like that is a completely different shape on the 13. I think dynatech or something like that has a carbon fiber driveshaft. Number 3 front headlights not sure but I'm sure it should plug right in. Obviously you may need some extra wiring for the LED strip but should be pretty simple Number 4 grills and front splitter already a billion people have done that they bolt right in Number 5 why are you asking about wheels? They are a direct replacement only difference is design. Do you really want to pay 1700 for each rim? On Tousley its probably around 1200 I think Number 6 the TVS bolts right in no crazy stuff needed to make it work. Tousley is selling them for 2100 they are dirt cheap. patrickshelby
The driveshaft is pending (but there are aftermarket CF ones that fit and that are cheaper). The headlights seems a no no (different number of wires & different socket type). The grilles & splitter is a classic swap by now (Protection issue...apart). The wheels is a no issue thing. The TVS is on it's way to become THE swap to make... The (front) brakes?...not seen any thread on that...should be that one (!) but never answered or followed. The rear facia + rear lamps has been done by Amigo, but he is having his 12 converted in a SS right now. BTW Amigo's GT500 was the test mule to a lot of 2013 parts swap!
