2010KonaBlueGT
Anyone know of one? http://fordracingpar...tKeyField=11705 The Ford Racing Perf. Parts site says it's no longer available but I'd venture to bet you can find one privately or at a FRPP dealer (buyfordracing.com for instance). 2011SHELBYGT500CONV
Is one really needed? I thought with the 2011 GT500 was designed/strengthed on the underside so it didn't need one like earlier models. And if that's the case, would it even help to put one on or is it more for looks. jsdeweyusmc
I have a JLT bar that I had on my 2010 and 2012. I demodded my 2012 so that I can use alot of the items on my 2013 when it comes in. Im not going to install the bar on the 13 so I'll take $100.00 plus shipping for it. It is silver with black stripes now and under the color it is sterling gray with silver stripes. SteelTownStang
I had the FRPP brace as well and it rubbed... I purchased an 07-09 STB brace. While it's not as blingy as the FRPP, it fits fine. I picked one up at Greenleaf for $25.00 and painted it...

I picked one up at Greenleaf for $25.00 and painted it... I was wondering if that would work. Is it the same as the KR type "double bar" brace? Shelby was selling them for dirt cheap and unless I tweak my 2010 FRPP STB, it holds my hood up too. Phill
rg0019
So, for the 2011 -2012 it is not needed? If you do add it, I'm assuming it would be more for looks than function? At the same time, I'm sure it would not be hurting anything. I was planning to pick one up and painting it the color of the car plus the stripes I'm planning to add. thanks... I picked one up at Greenleaf for $25.00 and painted it... I like the low-bling look. And for $25 it's a throw-away mod if it doesn't work out. With the full tower caps I saw on some other thread around here, it's a clean look.
