HGT500H
Hello every one. I have a question of 08 stock brembo calipers. Is that possible to install stock front brembo calipers to rear??? I've never seen anyone has done. Since my GT500 has ugly crappy stock rear calipers, which are even unmatching to the front calipers, I thougt it would be good if I can use matching calipers to the rear as well. If it is impossible, is that all about E-brake? I have no idea. so please someone help me. Thanks. Have a great weekend. Jason
EL SHELBY
This has been asked here several times. The honest answer is, anything is possible with enough custom fabrication. The real question is, is it a good idea? In my opinion, no its not a good idea. Simply because of proportioning the brake front to rear and axle knock-back. All of the big brake kits for the rear of the S197 have been specifically designed to address both balance and knock-back. Brembo has stated that it will not produce a caliper for the rear of the S197 because of the knock-back.

Kevin Patten
Have you ever considered getting the Steeda 13" rear brake upgrade kit and using caliper paint on the bracket and caliper. As many fox body guys learned by building up to a 14" 4 piston fixed Brembo up front and running a 13" single piston slider caliper setup in the rear works really well and is quite balanced for the weight bias which we also share on the S197 platform. Having too much rear brake gets real hairy real fast especially at the track (not the time or place to be shaken your rear end around).
