Cobra Boy Posted May 1, 2012 Report Share Posted May 1, 2012 Hello all, I just wanted to thank all that were able to make it out to Shelbyfest. The weather held for us and we had a huge show. With more vendor displays than ever before, and more cars than ever before (still assembling final numbers but somewhere close to 450), we filled the city streets of Hermann MO with one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. If you didn't make it this year, you missed out but there is always next year so get it on your calendars. The last weekend in April. I got pic up on Facebook last night (Shelbyfest Hermann MO) and am loading them onto the event sight tonight and will try to get a photobucket link posted here as well. On of my favorite highlights of this year? - getting handed the keys to an AC Cobra to take her for a drive. I was left with the impression that when Carroll donned a flimsy pair of coveralls and a "sorry excuse for a helmet" and raced those cars competitively on crappy tires......that's man stuff baby. Those guys were real bad***** Hot Rod Magazine Live was on hand this weekend taping the show (since Hermann's connectivity leaves something to be desired) and it will air this coming saturday so check them out.
