mach 1 1970
Just Purchased a Shelby GT-H ( 13576 miles )from the original Ford dealership that got it @ the auction on 12/18/06. Now Shelby is sending me the permanent dash plaque, engaved keychain, certificate and 40th annv trunk badge. Wow this stuff is cool as hell for the Shelby GT-H. This is what Ford did for original 2012 Boss owners. These 500 GT-H Shelby's are the car that got Ford and Shelby back in the game again. Thanks Shelby Automobiles Inc. JeffJ
Yes, that stuff is one of the coolest things about the car. Make sure and search through the GT-H coupe category here if you have any questions. Or if you do, just post them up there and many of us will be happy to answer anything that you want to know about the GT-H. With my current engine explosion, I don't think there is anything that I haven't gone through on this car now! You may also find some interesting things under the car if you take a look. Like signatures of builders, etc. Many I have seen have "D. Maze" written on the right side front frame rail on the inside. The GT-H is a very interesting and fun machine! JeffJ
Very cool badge. 1966-2006. I can't post a pic from work, but there are quite a few in the GT-H section. Placement varies, but most due one of two places. I put mine on the rear trunk panel to the right of the faux gas cap similar to the placement of the 1966 GT350 badge on the ealry cars. Shelby placed theirs on the right side of the trunk above the passenger side tail light on the test car, so some have followed that placement. Many keep it not on the car. I think it looks perfect where I put it on the back. But hey, I put it there so of course I think it's the best spot!

I went to the GT-H section and found what I needed. The Ford dealer had the Hertz package and included it in the sale.

I'm new to the GT-H world as well, and got lucky with the swag from both Shelby and Hertz as the previous owners never registered the car.
JeffJ
Ah yes, don't forget about the free package of stuff from Hertz. Since it sounds like you are the first owner, I'm guessing that nobody has received that yet. The package you will get from Hertz is actually very amazing with original window stickers, build sheets, etc. I don't know who there still has the undelivered packets. It's been so long since there's been a first owner here! Search the GT-H section. Let me know if you don't find what you're looking for and I'll try to help. HARALD KELLEY
My signature picture links has a picture of the 40th on the trunk above the right tail light. Thought this would be better than in a drawer. Same location as the prototype. Steve Fleske is the contact from HERTZ. I will look up his email and post. Enjoy the car..
