The only way you will get any closer to seeing all this is by taking a factory tour.

Download the story / 225 photos / click on mini movies on some photos & keep them with your collection of paperwork, I know I will.

Enjoy....... :hyper:

PS: Robert & Sharon...... Any progress reports on a plant tour for our get together this summer?

CW, I just down loaded the pics . They were very detailed ,just like you were there in the plant. I loved the engine assembly pics the best. It was something how the torque machines would torque all the flywheel bolts and both connecting rod bolts at the same time.Great shots of the clutch also.

Very cool how the each have their own signature stamps to sign the engine. It would be nice to meet those guys someday ,maybe at an event or something.

Thanks again for posting the link.

I like the ones that show torque sequence on the heads & main caps. Yeah, that stamping machine with the bell was cool too for the eng. tag names. I'm still downloading them, trying to get all 225 photos. Did you check out the mini videos?

CW,

You're a patient man. :tease: Regards.

Stuart

Yeah, I can't wait to be even more patient when I go to print them out & then put them in a 3-ring binder. IMO it will add even more value to the car later down the road & if it ever needs restored you have photos from inside the plant to reference to. I can't wait to see if we get a tour with the SU gathering this summer :hyper:

Great find COldy..you get a gold star. I downloaded about 80 pics. I like the one showing the cross bolts in the main caps....extra strong.

P.S. It would be neat if any of our engines were built by those two guys. Mine was not.

Neither was my engine.......Skip the gold star, I'll take a cold one :beerchug: when I come down there on weekends for the month of May. I'll let you know in a few weeks once things are finalized.

OK Guys & Gals,

I contacted the Magazine that wrote this up & took the photos, I asked about getting custom reprints of this article & what the price would be and they are putting together the costing info for me. I'll then pass it on for you to see & to find out how many would be interested in purchasing a copy for their collection.

Years ago went to the Altanta Plant to see the SHO's being built. That was a really neat trip. Still would love to to to the plant to see a shelby built
