CodyWayne718
It's in any gear right at 1750rpm. Goes away when I push the clutch in. It almost sounds like plastic on plastic but loud. Is this just normal clutch chatter or should I worry?
dbackg
Throw out bearing? or the clutch plate springs? What year is your Mustang?
CodyWayne718
It's an 07 with 17k miles. I had someone ride with me about a week ago before I pinned exactly where it did it in the rpm range so he didn't get to hear it constantly and it would just be faint when he did hear it. He said gear roll over? I just feel that it shouldn't have this kind of noise coming out of it.

Robert OHara
I had that noise, found what it was when I replaced the clutch.. Vent tube on the transmission was cicking on the case. I put a 3 inch piece of rubber hose around it , and it is quiet now.
CodyWayne718
Dbackg, I've read thru that stuff before I joined. I don't think I'm having those symptoms. Just the chatter at a certain rpm. B Shelby, I assume I would have to tear into it in order to see if it was the vent tube? I'm not too mechanically inclined when it gets deep into stuff.
