Grabber
My Steeda's are 5 years old and the shocks are failing. They barely hold my hood up and the slightest wind will blow the hood shut, so I can't leave my hood open except in the garage. Not good ! I'm going to try a set of these instead of replacing the Steeda shocks. Just ordered them. Thanks for the post my friend.
07SGT2134
I just bought the Shelby Hood Strut Kit (made by MRT). After installation, I noticed my hood did not fit flush with the fender. The hood was bowed a little, so I removed them & the hood closes and is smooth with the fender as it should be. This kit is bolted between the hinge and bolt head for the hood hinges. It appears the QuickLIFT system installs on the hood frame. I may spend money & try the Redline QuickLIFT System.

wanted2b
I have the MRT brand of hood struts. They are great, no problems at all. They have a lifetime warranty, so what do you have to loose.

E40
Put my Redline's on today. So easy, it should be illegal! Work like a charm. Does everybody leave your prop rods on for emergencies or take it off? Input welcome.

Snoopy49
Does this fix only concern 2010-2013 Mustang's or are the 2005-2009's also involved?
Grabber
Does this fix only concern 2010-2013 Mustang's or are the 2005-2009's also involved? The 2006-2009 Mustangs have the problem. 2005 is a different body style. ...and yes the 2010 - 2013 have the problem too.

RedlineTuning
Redline Tuning 2005-13 Hood QuickLIFT systems all use the same hardware now. Our new bolt-in design was optimized to fit both 2005-09 and 2010+... any questions, just give us ring or send us an email. They literally take 5 minutes to put on, you don't have to remove your hood bolts and they lift and hold the hood as if OEM. Thanks!
