TXSGT
Hello all, I purchased my 1st Shelby and 6th mustang a week ago. 2007 SGT, white, Black leather interior of course, 19,000 miles, had it sent from Maryland. It seems the previous owner had put a few aftermarket items on it, GT500 spoiler, chrome trim around the tail lights and quarter windows (Which were immediately taken off) CS trunk lock emblem, seqential tail lights and a few small goodies on the interior. I traded in my 2007 v6 for it, I had quite a few mods that I stripped before I turned it in. Some of the mods are going to my 2006 GT, I'm intending to put a couple on the SGT. Here is my question: Would it be wise to put wheel spacers on the SGT? they are the 1 inch ones from American muscle, they aren't the name brand ones, would they be able to handle the power to the rear wheels? Here are a few pictures alongside the 2006 GT

HARALD KELLEY
Welcome. My own opinon but I do not like spacers. Why do you need them, brakes or? May be ahelpful for folks to provide input.

TXSGT
@Larry T - Thanks! @H0050 - They are for looks only. I prefer the "flush" look, the rear wheels are a little tucked in for my liking. My concern is are they going to be able to withstand some "spirited" driving @08SGT0128 - All the way out here in the middle of nowhere, Abilene. TXSGT
Just registered the car with the Shelby American Registry, it shows the previous owner did too. Thanks!

I'm with Harald on this one, not a big fan of them. I would think that if Carroll wanted the rear tires to track wider he would have made it happen without using spacers. Hmmm.... you have a point. I might just go ahead and sell them along with all the v6 specific stuff I have left over. I'm going to put my rear louvers on the SGT that came off the v6, and purchase a set of the Shelby quarter window covers, that will be it for any cosmetic mods. HARALD KELLEY
You could always get new rims with different offset or width or a different tire profile. I would recommend no spacers. Good luck.

TXSGT
Thanks everyone! Just got a set of Shelby floormats to replace the dingy one-size-fits-all mats that came with the car.
spclmstngs
Welcome to Team Shelby. I am also in the middle no where. I live in Odessa Texas not but 3 hours from you. Maybe we could get together sometime for a cruise or something. I would also like to know if you could tell me when there are any car shows In the Abilene area. TXSGT
There is hardly anything that goes on here, they have shows so few and far in between and they do such a poor job at promoting things like that you don't know about them until they are over with. Probably the biggest event around here is the yearly cruise night, usually around September/October time if I'm not mistaken. If you are ever in this area PM me and can go cruise.
