jerseygator Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 They are called, "Pit Stripes" and orginated on the early shelby's. Back in '60s when the cars all looked alike (white with blue stripes or just white), stripes were added so the pits knew which car was theirs. Cobra's also used them. I believe the original color was yellow. I'm sure someone will clarify. Originaly they were only on the drivers side. But many folks, like me, have them on both sides. I love them...
