Pockdog
Interesting that in the article, it refers to the car as "the 49-state Shelby with cats..." Does this indicate that the car is street-legal in all but one state? Wondering if that state would be California? -Pockdog
SWEDEMAN
It says Supersnake on the pulley's and the blowers, are they using all Supersnake parts on the brand new Shelby 1000? Love the Alcoa wheels!! Awesome car, 1000 horse power! EDITED: Edited April 1, 2012 by SWEDEMAN

svtkeith
Awesome read and vids...Amazing how a 1000 hp Stang has a proper grill but a production 650hp GT500 don't have one because of cooling issues.

Bill Hamilton
Looks like it would make a fine "Drifting" car. Not sure I really understand the concept of drifting as a sport. It was “frowned upon” by the police if they caught you smoking your tires like that when I was young, dumb, and had a full tank of Sunoco 260 in my then new 1970 Mustang. Pulling out of the local Shoney’s, Bob’s Big Boy, Dairy Queen, or hundreds of other home town drive inn restaurants on a Friday or Saturday night required laying as much rubber as you could from whatever you were driving at the time. Failure to do so could result in major embarrassment at school or work the following Monday morning. The old,”My clutch was slipping excuse,” usually only worked the first time or until the cop peered into your car and saw the automatic transmission shifter. Now days I guess you could tell him you’re in training for a “sport”. Wow, One Thousand Horsepower! If you ask me what that is, I’d have to tell you it was the total horsepower of my last three Mustangs … no really, a 225 hp LX5.0, 305 hp Mach 1, and my 550 hp 2011 GT-500 (LOL). blondiepa
She's even prettier in person. We got to babysit her and keep her clean at the NY Auto Show...She needs some satin black strips. :-)
2nd2none
"This subframe allows the supercharged aluminum-block V-8 to be moved back a bit and down 0.75 in. SuperFly03
While this is amazing and a bad ass Mustang, $150K? O.o That's just... I don't even know what the word is. *Goes to the dictionary* What does seem odd is the relatively low torque rating. 750? *Confused*
svt13
Awesome read and vids...Amazing how a 1000 hp Stang has a proper grill but a production 650hp GT500 don't have one because of cooling issues. LOL. I been thinking this for a while. A veyron has a grill and this car has a grill but our 13 can't have any? Ford got lazy at the end with our car. Jadavis525
I think 150,000 on top off a Super Snake is excessive. Its probably 30000 in parts and 120,000 in high priced labor. But hey if you got it blow it! What a monster! J
Snoopy49
I think it is $150,000 on top of a stock GT500.
SHELBYCS6
I think it is $150,000 on top of a stock GT500. That's correct..the $150k doesn't include the price of the car........
SHELBYCS6
This is crazy power....Hellion twin turbo in a 2012 GT with 1250 hp on the ground and I'm sure a ton of cash less than a Shelby 1000. http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=hellion%20twin%20turbo%201250%20hp&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CEUQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stangtv.com%2Fnews%2Fvideo-hellion-twin-turbo-mustang-puts-down-nearly-1250-hp%2F&ei=8NsRULGeDui06wHJg4DgDA&usg=AFQjCNELlaT67R_nch8APP1gBe3zW7q3-A
