I know it was posted in another thread (thanks Pony88) but feel it deserves it's own discussion.

For me I'm looking at the following:

J4 Deep Impact Blue

Still debating black, white, or stripe delete

Decisions, Decisions!

Now we just need pricing! :)

They brought back sterling gray but discontinued kona blue. I thought the metallic for both of those colors were distributed out of Japan? Anyways, silver stripes are no longer an option according to the order guide

Nope, not in the Sterling Gray.

Kona Blue, Tuxedo Black, Earth and....uhh, Lava (???). Two more (5 total), but I can't remember what they are now. It's posted in a thread here on TS.

I know for *fact* the three I listed are included (sans Lava) because I own one of each (and it figures) !!

I disliked those stripes. Enough to get a stripe delete over that if I was in the market.

Apparently, so did a LOT of other people otherwise Ford would still be offering them.

Heated seats for all the geezers!

I've never understood why someone wants heated seats in a car that can't be drivin in cold temps, as per the Mfgr. recommendation/warnings.

Yeah, there's those *couple* of guys that put AS tires on a GT500 and drive them year round but for the most part...Nope.

COOLED seats, now that's a different story. I have both on my F-150. The heated seats are GREAT in sub-freezing weather (especially with a remote starter) but the cooled seats...they're "the shit" since it gets hot as HELL here in CO during the summer.

To each his own,

Phill

Just got the call from my salesman also...going after work to build one and put a down payment and let the clock start ticking.

Can he get you prices???

I agree hate those narrow stripes also but they should make them an option for the ones that do like them though.

Well looks like no chrome wheel option again ( That Sux )....Can't understand for the life of me why they wouldn't make

a chrome wheel for this car like the SS....I like the wheel style of the new GT500 but can't stand dark or grey painted wheels.

Two years too late they are offering the color scheme I wanted, Sterling Grey / Red Stripes, oh well..

Looking forward to the pricing, & seeing the hp @ 7000 rpm.

2011 SVTPP had sterling gray w/ red stripes, it looked kinda average but probably a rare color scheme. Car and driver is estimating the base price starting at $59,000. Personally I think their estimate is a little high but a 2013 with SVTPP, Recaros, Glass Roof, and Electronics package I say MSRP will be $65,840

I'm gonna say $61k for that.

Well after work I called again and he said he was trying to build my car and it would not let him yet....soo, I still am waiting. My choice is Ingot Silver w/Black Satin stripes, Electronics package, SVTPP.

I bug the salesman 2-3 times a day.

That would be $75,840 here in Canada...Not good...But where I thought were it would be also.

MSRP will certainly be higher in Canada, but I doubt that it will be a $10K difference. Based on GM's US and Canadian websites, MSRP for a ZL1 is $54,095 in the US, and $60,090 in Canada. Ford may of course use a different currency conversion ratio, but $10K seems a bit steep, considering that the Canadian dollar has been roughly on par with the US dollar for awhile. With that much of a difference, you're almost inviting Canadian customers to shop south of the border. Not good if you are a Canadian dealer.

Hope the ordering guide is accurate. FWIW, the 2012 ordering guide the showed Kona Blue available with black stripes, but after LEANING on the dealer, calling several numbers at Ford and SVT, etc it turned not to be the case. I had to go with delete and add the stipes later. Hope you don't have the same hassle if you want black on blue. Looks awesome though (my pic below doesn't do it justice).

I just want to remind all you guys.....Ford is now offering a bone stock Mustang, right off the showroom floor, with 650hp. Just think about that. For old guys like me.....I remember when Ford ran the magazine adds for the 1982 Mustang GT saying, "The Boss is BACK!" and bragging that it had "157 horsepower!". I remember sitting in the library in high school looking at the issue of Car and Driver reading the add. Wow man.....157hp. That was awesome! If someone had told me, "Kid, by the time you are in your 40s, they will sell a Mustang with 650hp", I would have died. But, here we are.

Yeah, even some of the guys at Ford can't believe it. One thing I'm hearing a lot though, is that kind of HP won't be aroun long. Ford guys never actually speak of the future, but I've got all the reason to believe after the short run of 2014, we will see the end of the mustang as a true pony car.

Hello,

What do you think about the 2 double mufflers tips ?

From my point of view, I don't like them because they are too european.

Very similar with what we can find on european cars.

I like the double tips on european car but not for an american muscle car.... OK I'm french

I really prefer the 4" and 4.5" inches with the angle cut.

Hope you're right YZ...When I bought my 07 GT500 there was a 10K price diff compared to the US.

I remember that there was indeed a 10K difference in '07 as I also was in the market for a GT500 then, an ultimately bought one in January of '07. When I bought mine, Canadian dollar was at roughly $0.85 USD. I'm not saying that car company fully adjust their pricing to take into consideration currency fluctuations, but generally speaking, the gap between Canadian and US MSRPs has closed significantly since 2007.

Car and Diver's price estimate of $59,000 is dead on for the base 2013 with the SVTPP (821A) .......not the base (820A) standard car....just sayin..... maybe that's what they meant to say or should have said given that is the car they rode in.
