QuadCam
Any reason we cannot take our cars on a slow speed parade lap around the 2.5 mile oval? We're all adults here. I cannot imagine a bigger thrill than being able to say I drove a lap at INDY with my Shelby. Frankly, this seem like a glaring omission for any 50th Anniversary celebration - Now more poignant with the passing of mr. Shelby. Having a porfessional photographer take a picture of your car crossing over the "Yard of Bricks" would be nothing short of awesome. Tim, Greg, make that happen. Please. Firekiller
I am sorry I wish I could make it happen, unfortunately the cost is way to high for us to be able to do this right now. Just to be able to go around the track would cost us about 4500.00 plus the cost of us having a 1 million dollar insurance policy for TSGLR. Being this is our first event it is unclear how many cars are going to show and how to devide that cost among the ones that do. Maybe as our event grows and we can get more sponsorship for our event it may be an option in the future. Just remember Tulsa, and Shelbyfest started with only 6-10 cars in the beginning and look at what it has grown to. Hang in there with us and just remember that anything we do at this point comes out of ALL the TSGLR directors own pockets, we are making zero dollars for this event. Once it takes off and grows, who knows the sky is the limit.
