metal_driver
Here we go with another wheel thread.. I have thinking about potential options for the SVTPP rims (which I will be keeping by the way). I have been doing a bit of digging around but I cant seem to find an official answer.. Wondering if anyone can help. Does anyone know for certain what the offset is for the; 20 x 9.5 SVTPP, and the 19 x 9.5 SVTPP OEM wheels that comes on the 2011 or 2012 GT500? I am not looking for info on the FRPP 19x9 and 10 rims. I am also wonderiing what the maximum backspace the rear wheel on the SVTPP model will handle? Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to offer up.

IA Shelby
Not for sure. Send a PM to "madlock". He has studied this like no one else. I am sure he would have the answer. What wheels are considering?
metal_driver
As you are aware ther are not too many options that work well on this car due to the bolt pattern and high offset. Was toying with the idea of some customs like ADV.1's but they are not cheap...

Eric Molian at www.GetYourwheels.com is a good guy that knows his stuff. CCW, True Forged, Forgeline and HRE are excellent high end wheel companies. DB2 is another. I took pictures of the calipers being painted RED. I assumed you had to disassemble the brembo's to paint them? Can you share some pics. I was told to get a rebuild kit but can't find them anywhere. Car got put under cover on Halloween. I have significant amount of parts accumlating waiting for spring install. Being that I have only had the car for less than a year a 5+ month storage will make it feel new. Parts purchased waiting for install: BMR UCA & Mount, BMR LCA & Relo, BMR front safety loop, DSS Drive shaft Coming before spring: MGW Shifter, Steeda Lightweight Radiator support, BMR A- Arms & A-arm brace, DBA 5000 rotors, Steeda adj motor mounts, Borla S type Undecided: New Wheels/Tires, VMP or KB, Shelby AR headers
BlueByU
I went to my local Ford Dealer and bought new calipers ( Front-Brembos and Rear -Ford ) Had them sand blasted and the painted then in RED high temp paint. They look GREAT I will take pictures of installation. Red Calipers WILL look great on my Grabber Blue GT500. This is my winter project.

That all I need to hear for that option. Was also toying with the idea of Vossen CV2's or Forgestar F14s. The beauty of the latter is that you can order the offset. The trick would be to get the right offset if going with 11's on the back because there is very little leadway between the fender and the bumpstop from what I have read so far. The thought of getting matching color brakes had crossed my mind. Love the option you came up with. If you dont mind me asking - How much were the new OEM brakes and paint job? Would also love to see some pics to see how looks. I think Red, School bus yellow, or Grabber Blue would look great on a Grabber Blue sled. BlueByU
Brand NEW Front Brembo Calipers ( Black ) from Ford Dealer Part# 7R3Z2B120A cost $ 213.26 (driver side) Part# 7R3Z2B121A cost $ 223.14 ( passenger side ) with out brake pads. ( Note: Ford charges more for passenger side caliper ). Brand NEW Rear Calipers Part# 7R3Z 2553A / 2552A cost $ 97.17 each plus Cord Charge of $ 100.00. The Brake Kit Part# is CR3Z 2200A cost $ 143.59. NOBODY sells RED front Brembo's for the GT500. I looked everywhere. You can buy a Brembo kit with brakes and rotors and calipers for around $ 3,000.00 to 3,500.00. So for $ 736.00 you can get Brand NEW front and rear calipers. And brakes and brake kit from a Ford Dealer for under $ 300.00. So for around $ 1,000.00 you can get Brand New Front and Rear Calipers. Then you have to paint them RED. A Resto shop did them for $ 150.00 + NJ Sales Tax - total. I was toying with Grabber Blue, but choose RED. Most of the Super Snake have RED. I still have my original calipers too.
