What I hear is the redline is actually 7k which will be allowed for 8 seconds in each gear then the computer will kick it down to 6250 after 8 seconds. The 6250 cut-out comes up too quick. Probably so that you don't blow your engine/ tranny if you don't make a clean shift. Regardless of all the cooling packages offered for the car, if it stays at 7K RPM for too long, it may blow something. I think it's a smart idea IMHO.
