JT93
I'm looking to purchase a set of long tube headers (along with the shorty x-pipe) but am torn on what brand to purchase. I've always been a fan of FRPP parts, but am willing to waver from them if there's a "better" brand. I'm sure quite a few of you have switched to long tubes, so if figured that I'd be able to get some somewhat unbiased opinions. I'm looking to add a supercharger later down the road, so I want to make sure whatever I choose will be able to withstand the heat and abuse of the track and my everyday driving style. americaniron
Here is a test of most of the long tube headers for the S 197. I went with Kooks myself, and have been happy with them. Good reading. http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/m5lp_0904_s197_ford_mustang_headers/viewall.html

Unless you are racing ALL the time you do realize the cost difference between long tube and shorty's is not worth the flow difference between them especially if you do not have a supercharger. If your bank account allows it by all means get the long tubes
