Test drove an '07 Shelby GT today. I liked it and bought it. 1 owner. 5K miles. White w/silver stripes and a tan interior. I especially like the interior. I have had several cars that sold easily because people were looking for a tan interior instead of the usual black or charcoal. 07SGT0660 is the CSM. It has plenty of power, so I won't be putting a supercharger on it. It rides alot stiffer but handles more securely than my GT500.

Nice Rev! It will be very interesting to see how you like them both after some months or a year. I would love to have both. I'm sure they are both absolutely awsome in their own ways. Congrats!!

P.S. In a post in the GT section Steve from Shelby stated that there were 69 white with parchment interior 07 GT's. 19 I believe of those were Autos, leaving 50 sticks. Pretty rare combo also!

If my Shelby GT was a convertible I might have only 1 car, not 3. The GT500 is fun to drive but really, now who needs that kind of power? It's a kick alright. But now really, who needs it? The GT seems very well balanced and easier to drive. The 500 goes like H*ll in a straight line though!!!! DAMN!!!

Out of all the Shelby GTs I found for sale all over the US, this was the only one with a tan interior. I had a 911 Red/tan and an NSX Red/Tan that sold to the first person who came to see them mostly because they liked and could not find a tan interior. So I think I did OK at $28K. Would have rather had it at $25K but low miles, local one owner and tan interior just did it for me.

They are such different cars. The GT500 is more of a touring car, while the Shelby GT is a pretty good track car. The GT500 is "softer", while the SGT is taught, and handles well on the track, or for example, on windy twisty mountain roads :)

If you want an equal car, you could generate it from either:

Shelby GT with the handling pack and an add on supercharger

or

GT500 with the supercharger and add the Ford Racing parts.

The difference would be that the GT500 is at the beginning of its capabilities (can go much more HP), while the Shelby GT is at the end (~600 HP max before you need to get inside the engine).

That changed in 2012 when Ford added the racing pack option to the GT500 and made it quite possibly the best Mustang in the herd. Then they came out with the Boss 302 which made that fuzzy too.

Congrats on your car. You'll love both for different reasons.
