4289cobra
I am sure that this topic has been beat to death, but has anyone every been able to find and program a TPMS valve sensor to work in the 2009. I called and spoke to American Muscle, they guaranteed that the ones that they have would work but that if the package was opened and installed that they wouldn't take the sensors back. Guaranteed to work unless you open the package and find out they don't.....WOW. I went past a local tire store and asked them about getting a set of aftermarket TPMS sensors (Valve Stem style) installed in my 18" KR Alcoa's for my 2010 GT500. They have them in stock and they said it wouldn't be a problem. AND, it was *much* cheaper than any Internet deals I've found out there. I think TOTAL it was around 80 bucks which included the 4 sensors, dismount the tire, install the sensors, re-mount the tires, balance them and program them to the car. I assume it's so much cheaper because you don't get a sensor programming tool with the sensors (I don't need one, once the sensors are paired to my car!). I would *assume* that they have sensors that go in earlier version GT500's too. It was a tire chain store....Discount Tire, or something like that (have the business card somewhere). SPEEDY168
I bought the kit from Amaerican Miscle when I switched to my Alcoas on my 2008. They work perfect.

You wouldnt happen to have the part number or remember it would you? It seems that for some reason the 07-09 have had problems. Did you get the valve stem sensors and the programmer in the kit? Did you get the valve stem sensors and the programmer in the kit? This is the one I got, although it has gone up from this summer. I paid $150. for it, but like I said I have had no problems. Just be sure and read the instructions for programing the sensors after the installation . http://www.americanmuscle.com/tpms-fullkit.html

I just went to Ford and bought the OEM's. Why the aftermarket stuff?? or am I missing something here?
